Recap: High Times So-Cal

On May 25-26 2019 High Times So-Cal Cannabis Cup was held at the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center in San Bernardo. Unlike 2018 cannabis vendors with flower, edibles or concentrates were selling products and Ice Cube was the music headliner. Most vendors were dispensaries from the area, but there were some cannabis farms, extract companies and even fewer ancillary companies vending of some sort. Despite the overall “bro, black and yellow theme” there were a few cannabis brands that stood out among the pack.

Lola Lola Cannabis brand was my favorite booth, products and overall mission for High Times SoCal. Lola Lola is simplify the path to feeling good by elevating everyday ambitions with elegant and easy-to-use cannabis experiences. Between all natural CBD, THC and Hash-Infused blends, you can seamlessly switch gears from a well-deserved nap to a high-vibe festival. Their product assortment consist of dog walker, and prerolls perfectly blended with cannabis strains that will amplify different moods. Their booth set the mood for fun and they brought the beach to San Bernardo deck out with beach balls, surf boards, and personal palm trees. The colorful and vibrant branding drew attractions

Choice craft cannabis brand was my second favorite booth and they won High Times So-Cal booth contest. They brought the party to High Times their booth was set up Miami lounge style. They had a DJ playing all the hottest tracks, couches so people can chill after purchasing cannabis and pre-roll vending machine. Their booth was literally packed the entire time with true Miami vibes with bumper to bumper people, velvet robes with massive lines, and clouds of smoke.

Finally my third favorite booth was Emoji Extracts. They had most colorful booth and free dap bar with their concentrates. There was always a line around the booth and they were front and center of the main stages attendees were able to jam out to music then take a dab break at the booth as they wait for the next set. It was literally perfect placement.

Some of the challenges were the food selection. The food vendors were absolutely terrible because there was no vegan/vegetarian option, the food seemed previously frozen over priced, and there was limited overpriced water. The food and beverage choices are especially important for cannabis consumers. The sitting was limited for the event and attendees were not allowed to bring lawn chairs even though the event was outside. Other than that overall I am glad I was able to experience High Times So-Cal Cannabis Cup
