The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and never explained. But surely I never expected, through so much pain of unexpectedly losing my mom exactly 4 months ago, that I would find so much clarity and purpose in my life so quickly.

Today is really hard–as is everyday–but knowing I’m starting this necessary journey without her physically here, makes this all bittersweet. Regardless, I thank you mom for raising me in a loving tribe, ensuring I received the best education, and for making me always feel exceptional and powerful beyond belief.
